Luis Vasquez’ dark hurricane will be storming across our stages this summer. The Soft Moon is raw and intense, kind of like Joy Division on steroids. Their pounding drums and raging synths engage in a raging battle with kraut, sirens and dark vocals, resulting an a brewing mix of postpunk and darkwave. The Soft Moon’s most recent album Criminal has landed them shows at Down the Rabbit Hole, Le Guess Who and others. On stage, Vasquez is supported by a band that pretty much set fire to the synthesizers. Hot damn. Lose yourself in a hypnotizing show full of feedback, gloom and dark lyrics.
