Kuenti i Tambu

This band from Amsterdam mixes European dance with traditional Caribbean music into an explosive and extremely danceable cocktail. Kuenta i Tambu only just started when they demolished our village for the first time. Now the band is oiled and they return for an even bigger party. Their secret is a smart balance between electronic sound samples, singing and chanting and the catchy rhythms of the ritual tambú drums. Kuenta i Tambu (KiT) makes frequent use of foreign instruments such as cajon, pandeiro, chapi and kachu, alongside drums and congas. How that sounds?
