ARIAH LESTER

With his countertenor voice and sensual moves, Venezuelan theatre  maker and choreographer connects dance, drama and singing to create ARIAH LESTER. A mix between a soul diva, a Latin rapper and an opera singer, his music is a bitter-sweet experience full of emotion and intensity.

ARIAHLESTER is a Venezuelan choreographer, visual artist, singer and electronic music maker. During his short stay in Europe he has won prestigious prices such the Moving Forward Festival Audience’s Award 2016 (Amsterdam), the TAZ-Sabam Jongtheaterschrijfprijs 2017 ( as a young theatre maker, lyricist and writer) at Theater Aan Zee Festival (Oostende, Belgium), and the Operadagen Award 2018 (Rotterdam), as a young creator with significant contribution to the world of music theatre.

In 2008 he graduated from the Juana Sujo acting school, in 2011 from the National Experimental University of Arts – both in Caracas, Venezuela. In 2016 he finishes SNDO – School for New Dance Development, in Amsterdam, and starts his career as singer/electronic music composer.
